2020 End of Year Reflection Exercise
My friends know I am very interested in self-reflection and personal development. In the past two years, I have used the following questions to self reflect at the end of the year, courtesy of Franklin Fellowship.
These questions might not be relevant to everyone. Still, I have found that they help capture a broad sense of thoughts I usually want to reflect on at the end of the year, spark new ideas, and put me in a grateful and appreciative mindset.
Often revelations come up that they would not have otherwise. Without further ado, here you go:
What was the best moment of the year?
What was the most challenging moment of the year?
What has been your no. 1 learning?
What is something you wish you had done differently?
What are you the most grateful for? What has been magical and wonderful about this past year?
What is one special aspect of yourself that you have especially loved this year? What are you proud of?
What is something you would like to improve for the coming year, and how do you plan to accomplish it?
What is your biggest dream, most audacious goal for this new year?
I would recommend taking around 1.5 hours to carefully answer each of the questions with as much content as possible. I often list more than my top answer for each question and then take the time to distill the best moment/no.1 learning etc.
Enjoy!
